Lovely stay at the Villa Vesta. Positives - quiet, clean and spacious accommodation. Very friendly and helpful hostess. Pool facilities excellent. Negatives - bed uncomfortable, shower rather small, no safe and mosquitoes!
Recommendations- you need a car to stay here (but be prepared for the local drivers!), the Crai Sessa supermarket is probably the best, the paid beach at the Lido di Noto is worth it (2 x sun beds, parasol, security/lifeguard, toilets and showers 15 Euro for the day).
This is a comfortable apartment, with table and seating on the terraces. It kept nice and cool on hot days. There’s no garden as such to sit in, but it’s very easy to cross the road to the fantastic pool where there are loungers under the lemon trees as well as round the pool. We had the pool to ourselves late afternoon/early evening, and it was heavenly! Nicolanna was a very good and attentive host, and we had everything we needed. Good sandy beaches are fairly nearby (by car) and there are plenty of food shops in Noto, once you’ve discovered where they are! Really lovely stay - thank you.
This place is perfectly located just a few Km from Noto. Used it as a base to travel around the area. Beaches are beautiful and my favourite "Calamosche" is so close but also crowded so do explore the beaches next to it, also.
The accommodation was a small sized apartment with everything one needs. Small eat-in kitchen with option to eat on the balcony. BBQ and seating outside was cozy. All seemed new and updated. Very clean! Well maintained! Queen size bed (but mattress was hard...seems to be a trend in Italy). Setting is surrounded by lemon trees. Smell of jasmine and lemon was always in the air. Owner was helpful when we arrived and answered all questions. Pool was across the street....short walk and was not a problem. The pool is beautiful and relaxing, about 20 meters.
Felt secure and comfortable! Security gate to come in and out. Great find...sleeps 4 if needed as it has a comfy pull-out sofa.
Also, family owns cottages across the street so if booked, you may want to research his place. He shares the pool with his clients.
We spent a very enjoyable 10 days in Villa Vesta in one of the 3 apartments in this lovely modern building. It was smart and comfortable, and when the gas ran out at 8.00pm one evening, a phonecall got us a new supply within 20 minutes. When a storm interrupted the electricity supply one night, the engineer arrived before 8am to fix it. Great service!
The region has several amazing Baroque towns less than an hour away, and a trip to Etna was well worth the hour and a half drive. The cable car up, followed by a minibus to the top was just great, though we really did need a warm jacket.
The villa is less than a couple of miles from Noto town centre, but the road is not suitable for walking, especially at night, because it's narrow and the surface is not good.
