This establishment has been open for three months. Lion's Head does have a fair choice of B&B's but not a great selection of fabulous food. Please add to listing I would like to add a review. During a recent road trip through the Bruce Peninsula, we did a bit of a butter tart tasting... Rachel’s was our first stop, in Lionhead.

Took some time to be served, as the one person working the front of the house tended to some tables having lunch.

We were eventually able to get our tarts, which included a chocolate filled chocolate shortbread version (my wife is not as big a butter tart fan!)

All were good, sweet, slightly messy, and with delicate crust.

Although ended up liking the filling better at subsequent stops, the pastry at Rachel’s was our favourite.

Cute little spot with outdoor dining. With that said I have frequented a couple of times and would say service is slow at best. We were there on a busy night, we came with our patience knowing it would be busy but after 20 minutes nothing...no one came by despite several staff walking around (the one guy behind the counter was hussling but he can't do it on his own)
Maybe stop for coffee but other than that I say there are better choices in town.

Okay Rachel's butter tarts are so good that they melt in your mouth and you feel like one is never enough. But how many butter tarts can one eat -- guilt guilt. Great little place for a light meal.

We had a late lunch here in July 2018. Rachel's is not the kind of place you will find in the city, but we liked it. We had delicious chicken wraps including The Marilyn. Service was friendly and informal. We took tarts and brownies to go and found them excellent as well. It is an unusual little place as some reviewers have commented but we liked it.

We arrived at about 1:30 PM for lunch with a group of 7, expecting some delay as we would be after the main crowd for lunch. The place was buzy which speaks very well for its location in a tourist town. We got our order in after about 20 minutes, and our food about 40 minutes after that - way too slow when young children are involved, we were never asked if we wanted ahything to drink, even though water was automatically brough to the table. Service was at best mediocre, while the food was good.
