This restaurant just has to be visited when we are in the area. Tucked away in a side street in Grottaferrata, this is a little gem. The menu is hand written and is as varied as you'd like it; something for everyone and all home-cooked.
Almost certainly you will need to book a table as is extremely popular. We were fortunate in getting in early evening and watching the tables fill up with the locals. It is said that you can always tell a good restaurant by the number of local people using it. Mangiafuoco is such a restaurant, try it; you will not be disappointed.

Great charcoal grilled lamb, top notch pasta with truffle, sweet grilled peppers, beautiful red wine and a very good house speciality dessert. High end of the price spectrum for Italian food in this part of the world but well worth it. Very nice rustic atmosphere and efficient service. One of the best in my opinion.

The place is in a small street just next to a larger street. Take the time to find this 'hidden' restaurant as it is not the first restaurant in this street. The atmosphere is sinpe but great. You can 'touch' the italian way of dining: simple restaurant with excellent food. Together with my business partner we started with a mixed anti-pasta. A mixture of meat, cheese, bread, tomatoes etc. ... delicious. The wine we choose is the Vino Nobile de Montepulciano 2008. A great noble wine to accompany the meal. As secondo I had a mixed plate of grilled meat. A great taste! If you are in this area, I recommend you to find and eat at this place.

Small intimate restaurant busy and great food. Must have a reservation, some difficulty with food translation.

We ordered a T-bone steak (1 kg), a rocket salad and a grilled artichoke. The steak and artichoke were perfectly grilled and so yummy. The salad was very fresh. Very good value for money. A must for meat lover.
