We played two games of golf at Newtonmore this weekend and would definitely go back. The course is lovely with stunning scenery and it is a friendly little club house. The only down side was the lady in the office was a little rude but the other staff and members were lovely.

Visited Newtonmore Golf Club for the Golf Week in August 2015 - and returned to play it again this year. Despite horrendous rain for most of the week the groundsmen kept the course open and, puddles aside, it played beautifully. The staff and members are, without exception, friendly and welcoming, and very happy and keen to play with the visitors. Throughout the week I played in three singles Opens, a greensome and a 2 "man" texas scramble - even managed to win £45 in prize money! Golf week also provided three evenings of entertainment - a race night, some local musicians playing traditional music and a quiz.
The course is stunning, each hole a challenge not least because of the unpredictable Scottish weather, and as it is relatively flat you've energy for a pie and a pint at the end of your round. Despite golf week attracting a good number of visitors, a round is never hurried, and you can really relax and enjoy your golf. Facilities for changing are basic but more than adequate. Food, in my experience, was a bit hit and miss - perfectly edible if lacking in variety or presentation. The Club secretary/starter/fount of all knowledge Heather Bruce was particularly helpful and made sure we went out at the best times for optimum enjoyment. Returned today for a final, and very enjoyable round, before I left the Highlands for home. Will definitely return.

The Golf Club offers meals from Breakfast thoughout into the evenings. An excellent quite varied menu is offered with specials available daily. All excellent value. We where staying in the area and visited twice in the fortnight as a large (11) and more manageable party (6) On both occasions service was prompt, the food great. Could not be faulted at the price. Well worth a visit even if not swinging a club!

Staff most Welcoming and helpful during our visit.

Course was in good condition, a few puddles on the fairways but the was down to torrential rain just before our visit, so good drainage considering.

Would easy visit again
