“Spacious, well equiped and lovely location for extended family celebration”
Reviewed 12 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We chose this Holiday Cottage, due to its spectacular rural location and amenities for a special 90th birthday party. It was also ideally situated on the road network for family from both the southwest and the northeast. There is plenty of space (in and out) for all of the family - from the age of 3 to 93. It is impossible to fault the extent of crockery, glasses, cutlery, range cooker and white goods etc, for such a large gathering. With the owners permission, we included additional members for a Saturday Buffet. They stayed at the Ross Premier Inn. Waitrose, Monmouth provided the entertainment buffet. Thanks to Anthony and Christina for a lovely occasion. Brian

“Fantastic location, fantastic property”
Reviewed 5 July 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The property was fantastic, really spacious even for 14 people. There is a large dining room with plenty of seating and the kitchen was large enough to easily cook for 14 people. The views are amazing and there are lots of good walks around. There are also a few pubs within easy walking distance. There was loads to do at the property itself as well. The bedrooms were all good sizes and nicely done out, with plenty of bathrooms so that there was never a queue! I would actually say that the property is even better than it looks in the pictures.
Christina was extremely helpful and welcoming. She was very easy to contact, both in the run up to and during our stay and nothing was too much trouble.
I would not hesitate to book again in the future and highly recommend anyone thinking of booking a trip to Riversdale Lodge to go ahead, you won't be disappointed!

“Fantastic Cottage”
Reviewed 20 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Had a brilliant weekend here!
With breathtaking views and excellent facilities this is a really well setup cottage.
Helped by brilliant weather the outdoor heated pool was a great feature to have available.
Really impressed with the comfortable beds, good showers and enough appliances and crockery to cater for cooking your own meals comfortably.
Will definitely be going back.

“Fantastic stay!”
Reviewed 29 April 2015 for a stay in April 2015

This cottage was booked to celebrate my '50th' birthday. It was a mixed party with age ranges from 6 to 76! We all thought it was fantastic. I had left it rather last minute to book this but the owners were brilliant even when I keep emailing about little things that kept occurring to me- nothing was too much trouble for them, even when I had to call on arrival because I didn't have the housekeepers detail to be able to get in!
The lodge was even better than the picture- the location just by the river was superb and we even had glorious sunshine the entire weekend! The rooms were lovely, spacious and very clean, the facilities wonderful - (we really loved the kitchen and bathrooms) - a real home from home - my two boys (6 & 10) spent almost the entire weekend on the zip wire- a definite favourite! The bottle of wine and chocolates were especially welcomed and were consumed with relish that first evening!
We only went to the pub across the river The Saracen's Head - the food was lovely as well as the people there- the ride across on the hand-pulled ferry was worth the journey alone!
I can honestly say there was nothing we didn't like and my husband even said it was the kind of house we could live it permanently. There are some lovely walks and the bridge over the river about 1.5miles from the cottage is not for the faint-hearted but well worth crossing!
Only negative point was the fact that the pool was not open but we arrived before it was open in May- that would have really added to the weekend!
We are going to try to book it again in the summer this time because it would be even better than at Easter time!!
Would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat!
Thank you Christina, Anthony and Jo

“Absolutely Fabulous”
Reviewed 11 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

The house and location are both stunning, tucked at the end of a little lane it feels very private with a superb view of the river. The garden was great for the six children, who described the zip wire as "awesomely amazing," and the house was equally perfect. Huge living room and kitchen and diner, with 14 of us altogether it never seemed at all crowded. The kitchen was extremely well thought out, we catered easily for everyone. Each bedroom was lovely, and the kids loved the DVD player and DVD's in their room. Wine and snacks had been left along with balloons and a card for my husband's 40th, Christina was also very helpful about things to do locally. However, as we were lucky with the weather we walked to Biblins Bridge and caught the hand ferry over the river to climb Symonds Yat Rock, all of which were accessible by foot. It couldn't have been better situated for us and we would highly recommend this property.
