Just spent a weekend camping here with friends. The views and surroundings are lovely. The slip on site is also great.
Unfortunately the site is very tired and run down and very expensive! It is purely a cash cow for the owners. The site gates are locked at 8pm and no-one is allowed to enter or exit until morning. Which I find unusual. The site rules are very restrictive and also unusual and contradictory. The club house on site has a nice atmosphere but again is completely run down. The toilets and showers are not very clean and the shower cubicles are too small with nowhere to dry off and get dressed. They are also too expensive at £1 a shower.

The Wye valley is a beautiful place and well worth a visit just unfortunately not to this campsite.

Really nice shower and toilet block, although you have to pay £1 to have a shower and I'd rather have standard showers that are free.

My main criticism that I'd really like to relay to the management is that there are no recycling facilities despite being such a large site. This is totally unacceptable, it is very important that there are options for people to dispose of their waste in a way that is environmentally responsible, especially in such an area of beauty. We had to take our rubbish with us which is inconvenient when camping.

We had booked to stay 3 nights but on arrival soon decided we would only stay one!
Our ‘pitch’ was an overgrown, boggy field. We were told to stay here for the first night and then find another pitch if they became available.
We went for a walk as the site is right on the river, (which is the only nice spot), where there are a range of broken, dilapidated buildings and features. This includes an old fairground trailer for some kind of horror ride and little huts with broken windows.
The only part of the campsite which had been recently refurbished was the 1 main toilet and shower although you had to pay to have a shower and then £1 got you an ice cold shower!
Definitely not recommended.
