“Lovely little place, great location, scenic, tranquil, relaxing. Great.”

A week's break away from the hurly burly...this is definitely the place to go. Badgers, foxes, and pheasants make appearances in the back garden. There is a fantastic view of the Wye Valley from the front, and all the attractions of the Forest of Dean and surrounding areas are within easy striking distance. The cottage is comfortable, clean and very well equipped. We took our dog along too. This cottage has a high rating, which is why we booked it, we were not disappointed, it is well deserved.
We recommended this accommodation highly and would stay there again.

“A jewel in the crown in the picturesque hillsides”

5 star accommodation with everything carefully thought out by the cottage owner. Superb views abound this location along with many places to visit and local pubs to eat in.A visit to The Wye valley is a must . Close to Wales. Lots of exhilerating dog walks . The evening watch of badgers not to be missed.

“Fab few days in the sunshine at lovely Symonds Yat”
Reviewed 14 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

We had a great time here at this superb cottage. It has everything you could need including torches and every kitchen thing to cook a full meal. Comfy beds and everywhere was clean. The owner was really helpful during the whole process. The wildlife is lovely as well. I can't think of anything that could be improved really. The location was great with just a couple of minute walk down to the river. We saw a kingfisher and two perigrine falcons. Overall we had a great few days , helped by the sunshine! We would definitely return here it's fab. We left feeling very relaxed as it's just so peaceful. Thanks very much.

“Fantastic place to go and stay.”
Reviewed 14 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We had a lovely holiday. Symonds Yat is beautiful. We went Absailing, canoeing and visited Go Ape for the day - there is plenty to do. The cottage is very homely and has everything you need in it. Very clean and well kept in amazing grounds. We saw badgers, foxes, rabbits and pheasants all in our back garden. I recommend this place to anyone and we will hopefully be going again

“Peaceful location, great views and a relaxing time had by all.”

Brilliant location for us to attend my brother's surprise 50th birthday celebrations in Monmouth. We visited Symonds Yat rock Forest of Dean, Tintern Abbey, Monmouth, Big Pit at Blaenavon and had gentle strolls along the river each day with dog and dad. The family came to visit us and it felt like home from home. There was everything we needed in the cottage (and more). Leisurely breakfasts watching the foxes and pheasants in the back garden were a delight.
