The whole team were brilliant and the food was fantastic. Always a smile with the service and nothing’s is too much trouble, they are flexible and accommodating as well. Advice about days out and other places to eat were also honest and accurate. Thanks so much for making our weekend a great celebration.

Room Tip: Rooms are great for the price, it’s an old building so expect a few creaks and cracks.

Me and my partner stayed for the weekend at ye old ferrie in last week, what a beautifull location and and lovely place, when we arrived we had a warm welcome off one of the staff with 2 log fires burning which were amazing, checked in, was helped to our room with our bags by a lovely young polite girl, the view from our room looked over the Wye river by far the best view from a Hotel room we have ever stayed, the room was great, the room, bar reception everything was really clean and I felt at home by the friendliness of the staff. We decided to eat there on the 1st night and I had the lamb rump and fair to say it was cooked to perfection and my wife had a steak which also was very tasty. The next day a guy called Jamie recommended a walk which we went on an the scenes were beautifull and had a wonderful time, we decided to eat again on the second night an yet again the chef never failed to impress again. Staff were absoloutly great, a perfect little team and so polite. After our stay we enjoyed it so much we decided to book again. Guys check this place out it is just an amazing place to visit with the food the views an polite staff that make u feel at home. I can't recommend this place anymore.

Having booked a three night stay we found ourselves, the only guests, snowed in and unable to leave. Jamie and his team battled through difficulties with deliveries and staff rota changes to keep us warm, fed and watered. At no time did we feel under any pressure to try and dig our way out, which would have been impossible before the thaw set in on Sunday. Then we had to try and get back to work. Then, having dug the car out of its snow drift, Jamie refused to charge us for the extra two nights. The room, the food, the atmosphere and the staff and locals made our stay first class. Our thanks will never feel enough under these circumstances. A hotel which provides this level of service should be everyone’s first choice.

Room Tip: A river frontage room guaranteed always something of interest to see. Beds exceptionally comfortable.

We received a warm personable welcome. Comfortable clean room with wonderful river view. Bathroom a little tired but we understand refurbishment is planned. Dinner was excellent and staff very helpful and attentive. Very atmospheric bar with great selection of local ales. The wood burning stoves gave the room a cosy and relaxing feel.

Food is wonderful and staff can't do enough to help. Check which room you have been allocated before your stay as some are inaccessible for individuals with disabilities. The setting is beautiful but try to get there before dark as we struggled to find it!
