Anywhere else in Spain and this corner bar in a fine building at a key crossroads in the centre of town would be a destination venue ... however in sleepy Mahon it is stuck in the past and awaits it’s re-invention in the modern world. In truth we did not mean to eat here ... we were aiming for neighbouring La Bodega but as the outdoor seating for three adjacent cafes share the same spot in the square we chose the wrong seats and by the time we realised wine was already being poorer and tapas on order. The food was adequate and average ... the Spanish blended house was was cheap and actually very drinkable ... the service was efficient. So, not a bad experience ... but in time this place will offer so much more.
