We visited Anghiari for 1 night and stumbled across this restaurant. It’s just round the corner from the main square.Service was good and the waitress spoke English which helped!

We had mixed mixed bruschetta to start for 3 people, homemade wholewheat pasta with tomatoes, capers, olives and mozzarella, a spaghetti dish with local sausage meat, courgettes and shaved truffle, and duck gnocchi. A mixed salad, lovely bottle of red wine, a glass of prosecco, water x 2 big bottles, 2 desserts: biscotti & vin santo and tiramisu, and am espresso.

Delicious meal and good value at €69.

While the Granduca is only a short walk from the old centre of Anghiari, it is tucked around a corner and easy to miss, apart from during the Anghiari Music Festival, when there are often concerts in the piazza just below, and tables set up outside for sunny days. Worth checking out for a reasonably priced meal and wine by the glass - we would recommend the wild boar sauce on papardelle. Friendly and intimate, and there is an English speaking waiter usually on duty.

We recently discovered this beautiful part of Italy and are all the better for it. We came upon this restaurant completely by chance thanks to a friendly local who gave us directions when we got lost looking for the Il Bastione del Vicario and recommended we have lunch here. We're so thankful we got lost and have many thanks to our kind stranger!

Staff were incredibly patient with our broken Italian. The menu was full of local specialities and also had it written in English to help the visiting traveller.

I had a pasta dish that was filled with raisins, almonds and Parmesan. We ordered bresaola which came with a sideboard of local cheeses and jams. It was all incredibly delicious and of good value. We understand why it's popular with locals.

I'm so happy we got to spend an enjoyable family afternoon here.

The quality of ingredients was low, the truffle in the pasta was without any flavor.. the creamy cheese simply disgusting, despite the filetto was pretty good, but very small portion for that price.

Thanks to Davide T and Giampiero C.
We really appreciate your feedback, criticism really helps us learn and grow. However we believe that there was no need to post two identical reviews in both english and italian, with two different accounts. it looks more like a diversion to spite us rather than give us constructive criticism. Nevertheless, your negative review will definitely help us make improvements and fix what went wrong!
Thanks again for the feedback,
Yours Sincerely

We enjoyed a Sunday drive from Arezzo to Anghiari, and had Lunch at Cantina Del Granduca.

We started with a platter of various meats, and then I had Veal Fillet with Porchini Mushrooms and Cheese. And my Wife had Spaghetti with Garlic, Zucchini, and another ingredient we cannot remember.

All the dishes were enjoyable. I would have liked some vegetables with my Veal, and unusually there were no sides of vegetables to order from the menu.

Prices were very reasonable, and the servers were very helpful.

We also enjoyed house red wine and coffees.

We would go back again.
