Very enjoyable got me in the mood for Christmas Visited markets as we sailed down the Danube to Vienna, Austria. Food on the Emarald Star was excellent as was the staff .
Would be a wonderful Summer cruise as well.

This medieval market is just wonderful with different foods than many - we especially liked the pita filled with meat, cheese and paprika sauce. The stalls were of course interesting and the children’s area with a hand powered Ferris wheel and carousel just charming. This is a very special market!

The medieval market added a new dimension to this Christmas market. There were travelling minstrels and interesting demonstrations of iron forging and other historic crafts. A live show enthralled the children. All this and live animals at the nativity. Also, great market food, including, a first for us, a meter long sausage on a 1/2 meter bun. The sausage wrapped back on itself, this leaves the best meat to bread ratio we have ever experienced at any Christmas market. Enjoy.

If you are close to Stuttgart in December you must definitely visit it if you like the medieval atmosphere. You can try a lot of snacks, play games and drink some Glühwein! The best place to be before Christmas!
