This is a wonderful peaceful place to be.
Close to Bruges as well as Ghent and the coast.
But actually all we wanted to do was chill on the terrace and go for occasional bike rides on the bicycles provided.
The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable stay and the owners were around when needed but hardly noticeable. We loved the terrace and spent hours there just dreaming.
We plan to come again.
This place is a wonderfully peaceful corner of Belgium. Unfortunately our stay was too short due to our health issues but we would love to return for a second stay. We will try and be less ....eventful next time The owners care of us went above and beyond what you would expect of them. PS the beer is good as well
We really enjoyed our stay in "Het Hectaartje" / Zedelgem!
The place is really nice, comfortable and well looked after. You can cook your own meals in a well equipped kitchen and enjoy them sitting on the terrace looking into the big, nice (shared) garden.
Zedelgem is a small place but with a good and cheap shopping opportunity. The green surroundings invite to go jogging or cycling.
The touristic city of Bruges is quiet close - a bit more than 10 km - and it's a good idea to go there by bike (2 bikes can be rented for a small fee together with the appartment).
The seaside with places like Ostend and De Haan is not far away - about 30 minutes by car which is also very nice.
And if you have any questions, the owners Jacky and Véronique will help you and provide you with useful insider information!

Thank you Jacky and Veronique. It was so good to find accommodation for two people. The facilities and the helpfulness of the owners was first rate. Fabulous location in lovely garden.
Cycle routes galore right on the doorstep and no need to use the car at all. Convenient for both coastal and inland trips.
