Off the beaten track lovely views but shabby. On arrival we were shown to our room comfortable with a nice outlook. Overnight we had a tremendous thunder storm all electrics were off for a couple of hours and basically it was quite uncomfortable. During the night we thought we had a few mosquitos in the room but on putting the light on we found we had been invaded by giant wasps which I have since discovered were hornets and they were dive bombing the bed. We had no sleep and were most uncomfortable when finding the nest was above the door to our room.
An expert came to destroy the nest but there were several more. As we were only there for 4 nights and I was very unsettled we moved on early.
If this had been the only problem I would have said it was one of those things but the room was filthy behind the bed and doors it was disgusting.
My main thing was the breakfast room was upstairs above our room and from 6am was a constant banging around and if there for a rest there was no chance.
Also the room maid decided to enter our room on several occasions whilst we were in bed. even when catching my partner naked it did not deter her to doing the same the next day. I booked this through booking.com and gave a favourable report but looking at all the places we stayed during our European trip this was the worst and the most expensive.

Room tip: All good views just not good value

We had very nice apartment with everything one may need. Clean and big beds, tv and even small kitchenette nice wiuview from the balcony. We did have invasion of ants all over the place but the personal come and put something like backing powder close to place from where ants where coming and the ants didn't bother us any more.
The hotel have very nice play ground for kids and small pool but the water in that pool was very cold even it was June and sunny weather with nice temperature outside.
Also from hotel is walking path to the lake that is nice it goes trough the grass fields and trough the woods but if you are not used to hike around better take car to go to the lake because it is not short distance even the hotel personal say 10 min it is much more .

The only thing I would really complain is breakfast. Very poor choice of food a special if you like to eat fresh vegetables or egs and if you don't eat pork...

I was, with my family, in Hotel Wurzer on September and found it 360*great. It is cleaned and confortable inside while wonderful outside with an amazing landscape of the Worthersee and the surrounding forest.
Personnel is very kind and polite.
Have the breakfast in 3rd floor....you'll drink coffee viewing the lake.

The staff of the hotel is very friendly, delicious and various breakfast (at least 4-5 types of cheese, ham, bread, fruit salad, fresh vegetables, hot eggs, tasty coffee, yougurt, pate, etc). The breakfast room has so wonderful panoramic view over the sea!! The rooms are large and most of them have good view over the lake. There is also a good swimming pool and parking free of charge.Wi-fi is good just in the room. You can also rent the bike here in the hotel. It is the good value for money! The hotel is situated not on the Main Street of Velden, but it is not the big problem. The big plus of the hotel-is the privat beach free of charge!!
