We came to visit the Picturedrome for the night so booked in here. It was quite strange to go outside to get to our room but then there were different ways to get into The Nook pub and then The Tap House. Once we’d got our heads around it we really liked it & will come again. Food was lovely in the Tap House, great locally produced food at breakfast though they need a new toaster! Preferred the Nook for a drink as full of characters & homely.

We used The Nook as an overnight stay after we’d been in Holmfirth for 2 days with work.
It’s a quirky building, it feels like entrances all over the place. Nice clean room. Mine was meant to set up for 2 of us to stay in, however there only 1 bed, so my colleague had to sleep on the sofa.
There’s definitely a noise issue at the evening, what you’d expect when staying above a pub/bar.
All the food was great, as was the service.

Really great place to stay. Very clean and well put together. Only drawback is parking but once you’ve done that it’s plain sailing all the way. Excellent food in the Tap House underneath the rooms.....and then there’s The Nook Brewhouse.

We stayed here as we had a birthday party at the vineyard. Rooms are in a block behind the pub. We were in the attic room, double room with ensuite. There were a lot of stairs, which some people may find hard to manage. Room was spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. Nice comfy bed. Wall mounted tv in room, tea making facilities and hairdryer. There is a lounge on the first floor and kitchen which guests can use. Breakfast room is on the ground floor and opens from 8.00 am to 10.00 am. Breakfast had a good selection - juice, cereal, yoghurt, toast plus a choice of full English, veggie full English or smoked salmon and scrambled eggs. Staff were friendly and helpful. The Nook is I the middle of Holmfirth so handy for everything including the bus station. The famous cafe from 'Last of the Summer Wine is just across the road. We stayed on a Saturday and there was quite a bit of noise from the surrounding pubs, but this stopped once they closed. Would stay here again .

Booked The Nook for my boyfriends 40th, we arrived tea time and were greeted by the bar staff and chef who were lovely and friendly.
We were checked in great with no trouble at all and I had asked prior to our arrival as it was a special occasion if they would serve us breakfast in bed and this wasn't a problem at all.
The rooms are very clean and we had the top floor room up in the eaves which was quirky.
The bar is great and we stayed in there most of our evening and had nachos and homemade chips which were lovely and we also ventured into the old nook bar around the back that adjoins.
Breakfast was lovely we both cleared our plates.
Location cracking right in the center of Holmfirth.
Parking as its a little village you just get where you can.
would definitely recommend Rooms @ The Nook.
