“Love Porthleven!”
Reviewed 26 June 2015 for a stay in May 2015

Our family of four (plus dog) visit Cornwall at least once a year as my parent have lived in Falmouth for the last 10 years. We always try to stay somewhere different every year but within reasonable travelling distance to Falmouth.
This is the first time of staying in Porthleven and it won't be the last. We all loved the cottage as it had everything we needed and was in a perfect location.
Porthleven is a beautiful town with lovely pubs, shops, beach and views.
We look forward to our next stay at Arrowvean Cottage.

“Great cottage”
Reviewed 10 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Brilliant week spent in this cottage. Our dogs were very welcome! Bottom garden section not secure for our terriers though but top courtyard bit great. We're a family of 5, found the kitchen a squeeze but who cooks on holiday?! Such a clean, homely cottage in a great location with parking. Would stay again.

“Lovely cottage, lovely village.”

We have stayed in this cottage several times and have always thoroughly enjoyed our holidays here. It has everything we need and is within walking distance of 3 pubs and several other eating places in the village.

There is a patio area at the back where you can sit and enjoy the Cornish sun and a real fire inside for the days when the weather isn't quite so perfect. (There are also storage heaters if your fire-lighting skills leave something to be desired.)

There is always milk in the fridge when you arrive, together with tea, coffee, sugar and biscuits, so you can sit down and relax with a cuppa after a long drive. There are a couple of convenience stores in the village where you can buy anything you need, and large supermarkets just outside Helston if you want more choice.

There is off-road parking, although the first time you try to manoeuvre past all the cars parked on the road to turn into the drive can be a bit nail-biting.

There are so many attractions within driving distance that there is always something to do. There are also some nice walks, not to mention the ice cream parlour next to the harbour!

Definitely a hidden gem, and worth the eight hour drive for us to get here.

“clean and comfortable cottage in an excellent location”

My husband and I stayed in this delightful cottage in August. It was excellent value for the money. The owners have created a warm and welcoming atmosphere with many homely touches. Sometimes we ate outside in the enclosed terraced garden from where we could appreciate the beautiful sunsets.
The location is great with off road parking and proximity to local shops. There is an interesting short walk through the old streets down to the picturesque harbour. From there we explored the cliff top walks in both directions with the profusion of wild flowers, birds and butterflies.
We would consider a winter holiday here to enjoy the open fire in the cosy front room.
