Description: The Harbour Inn, Porthleven, is a lively pub situated on the harbour serving fantastic food all year round using fresh local produce. The decor is a comfortable blend of old and new, creating an atmosphere which is relaxed, informal and individual. The en-suite hotel style bedrooms are cosy and inviting, blending comfort with character, some enjoy sea views over the harbour. Located, on the Lizard Peninsula (near Helston) with its beautiful beaches, historic harbour and quaint narrow streets of fishermen's homes is the ideal location from which to explore historic Cornwall.

Excellent food at an affordable price- we ended up visiting twice and sheltering from the torrential rain. Chips are fantastic- crunchy, chunky, crispy goodness! Very comfy and cosy with something for all tastes.

This pub was our ‘local’ when staying in Porthleven. We visited for a drink on many occasions in the week we stayed, especially as they are dog friendly. We ate here once as we visited for the Thursday night pub quiz (starts between 8.30 and 9pm). We weren’t expecting to be blown away by the food (as we had already been to most restaurants in Porthleven before this night). The scampi was good (ordered the fries instead of the chunky chips) and my partner had the burger with cheese but he found it quite rubbery. We saw someone else’s special of the beef and Stilton pie and that looked good. The quiz was lots of fun and was great with the local atmosphere. (We won the bingo during a break in the quiz :-). Make sure you can can see a TV when doing the quiz as that is how the questions are presented.

Went to the Harbour for a pint before eating at one of Porthlevans excellent restaurants. Service was good, beer was good, customers were friendly. What more could you want.

What Porthleven is missing in its restaurant armoury is a proper gastropub. Went here on Sunday expecting a roast. There was s carvery and a basic menu. The carvery plates being served up made me want to barf, so ate off the menu. Nothing exciting, all a bit bland and old school pub fare. Then came the meat raffle and bingo.

Thank you for leaving your review, we are sorry that you were not happy with our carvery or menu , but as you would probably have noticed this is fully booked every Sunday so is a popular carvery here,
The bingo and meat raffle are also very popular and it is something the locals like and is part of the village community .we hope to see you again soon.
