My wife and I checked in last week Thursday 16 August. It is absolutely breathtaking however this view was spoiled last night by the hotel management! After booking the most expensive Villa in the hotel we were treated like aliens. My wife booked this trip a year ago on bookings.com to celebrate my birthday. My daughter and her husband stayed in a hotel about 1km from ours. So yesterday we spend the day celebrating my birthday by booking Honeymoon Petravillas Yacht for the four of us and after that we had dinner at the same owners restaurant Aegen which is about 50 meters from our Villa. I invited my daughter and son in law over for a drink after dinner on our veranda to enjoy the view and finish of my birthday celebrations. Well after I ordered ice to our room I received a phone call from the duty manager and was ordered that my guests should vacate the hotel premises immediatly. I tried to explain that we are just quietly having a drink and enjoying the view and that it was family but they insisted that my guests should leave immediatly. Apparantly it is policy however we made the booking on bookings.com where it was not communicated to us. Surely sanity should have prevailed, I even begged that we could go the the hotel bar and pool area but that was also declined. Shocking to say the least, I am welcome to support their family bussiness and pay top Euro but were treated like a convict last night!

A very nicely located hotel! The rooms are spacious and clean with a panoramic view (no privacy on the terrace). The staff is very friendly and helpful. The girls at the bar were great!! The breakfast is good and correct. Everything is there but there may be some more variety. The hotel, like many others in Santorini, is not suitable for people with mobility problems. There are many stairs (height differences). We had a fantastic holiday, we definitely recommend it!
