We came to Honeymoon Petra Villas for part of our honeymoon, and it was beyond perfect. The style of the hotel and service of all the staff was exceptional. Add that to the view and you are onto the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Thank you!
Tucked away on the cliff with stunning sunset views, luxurious accommodations, serene ambiance and a world-class staff - you will find Honeymoon Petra Villas. Giannis, Vicky, Kostantina, and Maria were all completely wonderful. I have never been greeted personally (let alone known by my Greek name!) by a hotel owner in anywhere we have traveled. We enjoyed the excellent recommendations from Vicky and the rest of the staff - do not book anything in advance if you are staying here. You will get the best tips and treatments from the staff at Honeymoon Petra and have the most relaxing, amazing vacation of your life. The location is a perfect 15-20 minute walk from Fira, and a cab ride of the same to Oía, as well as access to supermarkets, a pharmacy, ATM, etc., right nearby. No crazy crowds, beautiful sunsets, and a world class experience.
The breakfast included was a wonderful and delicious array of options. I was not a big fan of the lunch or dinner options, but it was fun to get it out and explore Fira for meals or grab a quick gyro.
We will be back. And I will dream of Honeymoon Petra Villas as my "happy place" until then! xx
We visited in July 2018 on the first leg of our honeymoon. Top marks for location in Imerovigli - between the busier spots of Oia and Fira (where there are large crowds in the evening for sunset and where thousands of tourists come in on the boats each day). Imerovigil was much more chilled and Petra offers a prime location for sunset views from the poolside terrace. The pool bar is private and Hotel generally quiet - exactly what we needed after a hectic wedding. The staff were very accommodating and the chef was happy to prepare separate breakfast for me as I’m coeliac. We explored by walking by day and visited some 5* restaurants in the evening that were also within walking distance. The poolside and room were clean and comfortable. Our room was at the bottom of a couple of flights of stairs - which isn’t really a hotel problem, Santorini is on a cliff. At check in and check out, the hotel provided staff to help with our bags, taking them between the Hotel and transfer. Massive thanks to Costa, the hotel’s equivalent to Hagrid. He makes dragging 2X 30kg bags up a cliff look easy!! Minor complaints are the lack of iron in the room - you have to pay for clothes to be ironed. Which makes getting ready to go out quickly hard. They only provide one bottle of water per couple per day which you aren’t allowed to drink by the pool. I would be happy to recommend this hotel to other couples on honeymoon looking for some down time in the beautiful Santorini!
Just came back and had a wonderful time thanks in most part to the the amazing attention that the staff gives to all guest that stay at the hotel. Many thanks to Vicki,who always had a great smile on, Konstantinos and Maria. You truly made our experience at the hotel a wonderful one. This hotel should be commended on their staff because as a true traveler knows without a good staff you could have the best hotel and not have a great experience.
Breathtaking view, impeccable service, and a great pool! The rooms were very private and situated on the cliff so that there was minimal foot traffic through our patio. The breakfast (especially the greek yogurt and honey) was delicious and was one of many highlights of our stay. The staff was very helpful and attentive to our needs. It was in an ideal location on the island where it was not crowded but still close enough to access Fira. As we were walking around the island we were pleased with our decision to stay at Honeymoon Petra because of its spacious layout and large pool area compared to many high end hotels nearby.
We loved our stay at Honeymoon Petra Villas, truly a luxurious escape. Everything about our stay was perfect; we did not stay much since we are in the middle of a small summer vacation tour, but it was an excellent choice of place. Our room was amazing, with a beautiful town/sea view. The design was unique and really allow you to relax. Excellent and attentive staff and the restaurant was an unexpected surprise. There is nothing that we could fault about this hotel, we were sad to leave and can't wait to return.
