I stayed at gite de charme avec balneo on route to Andorra. It was initially chosen as a great spot to have a quick and economical rest before the drive the next day; but quickly turned into a wonderful evening. The cabin is built over two levels, with a bedroom upstairs and a lounge/bedroom/kitchen downstairs. The bedroom is spacious and contains a jacuzzi bath, and is decorated in a archaic wooden finish. The downstairs features a lounge area with kitchen and large patio balcony overlooking the valley. For the price, the level of comfort provided is more than adequate.
There was a fire on the moutain whilst we were there, and about 9pm there was a powercut as a result! The whole cabin transcended into darkness, TV off, lights out. A few minutes later the hostess knocked on the door with blankets and candles to ensure we had light and warmth duroing the powercut. It was as that point we looked up at the sky to see the most amazing array of stars - if you live in a city, this is a rare sight. We used the candles to kick off the fireplace, which set the scene for a good old fashioned boardgame. The powercut was perhaps the luckiest part of the evening - as we put down our electronic devices, turned off televisions and were reminded of the pre-smartphone era.
