We were a group having lunch in the vines on a beautiful September day. Food was good, wine was excellent, but the setting made it perfect. Great service as well.

Don't be fooled by the "Heurigenhof" designation - this is an ambitious restaurant with some real talent in the kitchen. We selected the four course tasting menu and opted for the wine pairings. The food covered a lot of ground, from a mostly vegetarian first course of peaches and Belgian endive to an interesting scallop course with some coconut accents and a truly delicious main course featuring sturgeon in a deeply flavorful brown sauce. Quality was consistently very good throughout.

This is probably only the second time we've ever opted for a wine pairing, since we are both current/former wine professionals and generally prefer to make our own choices, but after tasting quite of bit of wine earlier in the day we wanted to keep things a little lighter with dinner. I was initially disappointed that the pairings included a Grauburgunder/Weissburgunder blend and a Chardonnay rather than more classic Austrian varieties, but both pairings were absolutely spot on matches with their accompanying dishes (the Chardonnay in particular was an almost perfect match with the sturgeon). My only real disappointment was the selection of two Rieslings from the 2003 vintage to accompany the cheese course. While the wines were holding up quite well, 2003 is such an outlier due to the extreme heat that season that I tend to think the wines have very limited applications and are best reserved for special circumstances.

Finally, I can't say enough about the professionalism and efficiency of the service. We were prepared for some service issues due to the very large private party in the back room and another large family group, but the courses and accompanying wines came out promptly and we felt very well cared for throughout the entire meal. A wonderful evening overall.

This is an upscale version of a heurigen. The menu is rather limited, but everything we had from the starters to desserts was very good and nicely presented by the efficient and helpful staff. The kitchen shows both creative ambitions and high technical skills. Add to all this the fantastic wines from Brundlmeyer with a nice, relaxing ambiance and you have everything you need for a perfect evening. We will be back!

Brundlmayer is really a Michelin star level restaurant. The food is delicious and well presented. The service is friendly and great.

I had a three course lunch, including quail eggs with truffle (OMG) as a starter, mouthwatering pork tenderloin for the main and couple of shared desserts in the end ;-D

The wine selection (at least what we tried) was of really good quality and the wines went nicely with the food.

Can definitely recommend!
