Lovely cottage, bringing past into present. Keeps alive the generous spirit of Richard Wattes. Also has a charming old-world garden.

This old house is a place of historic interest located on the high street and it can visited for free (though donations are very welcomed).
Built to host six poor travellers, it has become popular thanks to the Dickens' short story entitled The Seven Poor Travellers (where Dickens saw himself as the seventh traveller).
The house is now a museum, run by volunteers, with a few rooms open to the public and a courtyard and herb garden on the back.
It only takes 15 minutes or so to go around but bear in mind that it is not wheelchair accessible.
