“a little hotel in Dutch terms”

Susana was terribly helpful with several things and quickly replied every email! We liked the apartment and the kids had their nice building activity in the garden with the flat stones. It's equipped as a hotel (we don't have that in the Netherlands: towels, linen, spices, tea, soap etc) and that's perfect for busy moms. The weather was incredibly well and we spent many hours outside in the garden and at the beach!

“Good enough”
Reviewed 30 January 2016 for a stay in December 2015

If you’re looking for a holiday rental in a residential area, than this is just right. It’s an easy downhill 10-minute walk to nearest beach. On the downside, it’s not easy to find a parking space when it's busy. The apartment is a bit noisy: one can hear the upstairs neighbours, especially their staircase. We made sure our children didn’t make too much noise.
The living room is fine (for the four of us, 2 adults and 2 young children), it’s big enough, with comfy chairs and couch and there’s a TV, DVD player, CD player and some family board games. There’s Wi-Fi, but it’s limited to 1 Gb.
There are two good-sized bedrooms and the bathroom is okay. It’s a good idea to bring some extra towels.
A bit of a let down is the kitchen, as it’s lacking utensils, things aren’t clean, there aren’t enough pans and not enough cutlery. We didn’t mind that there’s no dishwasher available, but that could account for plates, cups, cutlery and pans not being clean. This is okay if you don’t care about cooking and prefer eating out instead.
We did like the cosy dining area, although we had to give it a clean at first as well. From the dining area one can enter the garden, the decking in garden is quite slippery when wet.
There’s a step in the hall that one can easily overlook in the dark, especially because there’s no night-lamp.
The “Guest Information” left for visitors by the owner is good, it’s a nice touch that there's also some information regarding “Places to visit” and “the Local Area”. The owner left a nice Christmas welcome, a little tree with lights.

Dear Mike
I am sorry you didn't have a good experience at the apartment. Unfortunately we were in the process of taking over from the previous owners and will be under new management. I acknowledge this is not an excuse but I promise to address all your concerns above as we are in the process of updating -new bedding, utensils, new BBQ for the garden and much more. Thank you for your constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement which will be addressed over the next few weeks.
Please feel free to get in touch if you have any other queries or concerns and sincere apologies again.

Best Wishes
Sumana

“Lovely stay in lovely Broadstairs”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We had a great weekend away in Broadstairs. the property is very nice, well equipped, clean and perfect size for 3 adults and 2 small children. We arrived late Thursday night so it was great to find the beds all made up for us and towels ready. There quite a few games and dvds for the kids to play with and some buckets we took with us to the beach. We really enjoyed our stay here.

A lovely and calm area. We enjoy every day of our stay in Broadstairs. Friendly People, a beautiful sea and a nice character of old style houses.
