We visited on a sunny day it is a beautiful beach with soft sand and a small harbour. It is one of the prettiest little beaches in the UK

Clean beaches, plenty to do for youngsters during the day, slightly quieter during the evening but several very nice "Pubs" around, most of which have reasonable outside areas. Nice jump of to explore Kent.

Fantastic beach and safe. Great beach bar selling buckets and spades for my little boy. Plenty of people swimming too!

For a traditional English seaside resort you have to try Viking Bay in Broadstairs. It is a proper sandy beach and has deckchairs and windbreakers for hire. Deckchairs in June 2018 were £3 hire each with a £2 deposit. We found a pleasant spot in front of some beach huts and watched the world relaxing on the beach. Very family friendly.

As you look out to sea the left part of the beach is calm and has open sand. The right part has swings and other facilities for the kids. Approach to the left end is down a steep road that has a tiny cinema in it (not sure if it's the world's or the country's smallest) and the other parts of the beach are accessible via lots of steps. At the far right end there is a lift to the promenade that is available between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m.

A pleasantly busy beach with an atmosphere to enjoy. Reminiscent of my childhood holidays!

We love Viking Bay in our family, it's like you've stepped out of real life and into a postcard perfect beach. We love the fact that it's sand so you can take your buckets and spades and build that sandcastle or bury dad. It has a great selection of cafes and restaurants near by as well as a few fair rides. This beach just feels like a real treat!
