Our stay- We have just returned from a fantastic stay at this lovely house by the sea in Broadstairs. We are a party of two adults and one baby. This was our debut trip to the Kent coast with our little baby girl and we had a truly wonderful break. The house is extremely spacious, clean and very well presented.
Our arrival - We were met by Bryan upon arrival who was most welcoming and helpful throughout the booking process and the duration of our stay. Bryan combines a highly professional approach with a wonderfully personable manner. There is parking at the property for two medium sized cars, which makes unpacking very straightforward. The property was freshly cleaned and Bryan had provided a welcoming hamper of goodies and left some fresh milk in the fridge. So, within ten minutes of reaching Broadstairs we were sat in the lounge enjoying a cup of tea and a biscuit in the lounge.
The bedrooms - Since arriving home I have noticed just how uncomfortable my pillows are in comparison to those at Harbour Mews. The beds are very comfortable and I really do miss the fluffy pillows. The baby and I slept in the double bedroom on the middle floor, in order to be of equal distance between the bathrooms and kitchen for night time feeds. This room was lovely and light and spacious. Bryan had kindly provided us with a travel cot. My husband slept in the Top master bedroom, which had an en suite. This top master room was beautifully presented and very large. We did not use the further twin room but it was well equipped with children’s books and two twin beds. The shower pressure was excellent and I enjoyed a warm bubble bath.
The living areas - The living spaces are also very good. My family are in Canterbury and on one day of our holiday they came to visit. It was lovely to invite them over to the house for take away fish and chips and know that there would be plenty of space to seat everyone on the three sofas in the lounge. We ate downstairs in the conservatory by the kitchen, which seated us all comfortably. In the evenings, we enjoyed watching the large tv. Bryan had also left some baby toys, which our little daughter loved. The kitchen was extremely well equipped and featured a washing machine and dishwasher.
The location - Harbour Mews is in the most perfect location. It is set in a quiet little area in the heart of Broadstairs. Within two minutes we could be walking along the beach or fetching coffees and pastries from the bakery. We took some morning walks along the coast as the sun was rising and the views were just so stunning. I will try and upload some photos.
Thank you ever so much, Bryan, for a perfect holiday. We would love to come back and stay at Harbour Mews. We cannot commend or recommend you highly enough.
Accommodation is exactly as presented in the photographs - well furnished, spotlessly clean, nice bed linen/towels etc. Lounge is on the first floor and is a nice square shape with plenty of seating. Dining space is the conservatory which is off the kitchen on the ground floor. This takes up most of the rear courtyard so the available outdoor space is very small
There is parking for 2 cars which is a real bonus in Broadstairs and the cul de sac is very quiet although is only a few hundred yards to the restaurants, shops and Viking Beach
Wifi is very good - had no problems with it at all. TV is a freeview package.
Only request would be for some detailed instructions on how 'things work' - the TV handsets etc. Owner very helpful and lives close by so those issues sorted immediately.
This is a town house on 3 floors so might not be suitable for someone with mobility issues. For us it was an ideal base to explore the local area and we really enjoyed the stay
My family and I spent 5 days in this house at Broadstairs and didn't want to go home. The house is centrally located for all amenities including the suberb Viking beach, which is within a few minutes walk. Something for everyone to do as it's so close to the central part of the town. The house is spotlessly clean and is equipped with everything you need including a few goodies which Bryan the landlord who kindly provided upon our arrival and he was there to greet us. It also includes parking for 2 cars. Thoroughly recommend this property and would definitely stay there again.
Booked for the weekend as parents 50th wedding anniversary and all meeting in Broadstairs for a function. Bryan our host was amazing. Left great supplies to get us started and gift for our parents. The house was superb, great location and facilities. The beach and town just a few minutes walk away. Would highly recommend
Stayed here over Christmas 2016, lovely warm house, excellent facilities, big TV and sofas in the lounge (Well, it was Christmas!). Very clean and Bryan was so welcoming and even left some Christmas treats to welcome us. It's in a quiet back street but a minutes walk from all the town has to offer, including the beach. It was a great place for our grown up family to get together. Happily go back!
