I took my two grandchildren and my 3 year old great granddaughter in August. We were in a caravan in Skirlington and it was a very wet day. The kids really enjoyed it. Masses of butterflies of all shapes and sizes flying around or sitting eating. Leafcutter ants busy along the pipes and huge fish in the ponds.
We especially liked the stick insects, it was fun trying to find them as they were so well camouflaged. A lovely worker allowed us to touch one of them as we were unable to do the handling part. A super way to spend a wet, or any, day.

We went with 2 children aged 9 and 11 and they both loved it!!! The staff were extremely knowledgeable on all of the animals. At £3 for both the show and the butterfly/insect garden, it was excellent value for money.

Visited with 4 children between ages 7-13 mixed boys and girls and 4 adults, all had a good time learned some interesting facts and held some critters, staff were very knowledgable and friendly and enjoyed the visit, for us I think it was a one time visit however I feel they might introduce different animals over time but lots to see and interact with and would go back to see new stuff if advertised, nice and clean place , well done guys
