A lovely comfortable well cared for villa set in a glorious location with a great pool. We went as a family (all adults) and really enjoyed the place. Stunning views of the area including of Montalcino itself. The town is a short drive away – not too easy to walk in though as no pavement so we didn’t attempt that. The wildlife was memorable with fireflies, nightingales, lizards, butterflies and hummingbird hawk moths in the garden or close by. Plenty of outside eating areas too for meal time.
Only things that would have been good to have were a kettle and a microwave but otherwise well-equipped and well looked after by the local custodian and his friendly dog Ali!
There is a small supermarket in Montalcino and plenty of bars and restaurants and copious places to sample the wonderful local Brunello wine. The road café just near the villa entrance does good pizzas too!More
