On a wonderful trip touring the Gorges, we stayed in this fabulous Chateau with the most gracious family ever! Memories still rich in our hearts, can't wait to return! Thank you so very much for your excellent hosting!

It was last summer when myself and my husband stayed here. The owner of the chateau was very welcoming and his dog Tileul equally so. It is rather expensive but this is an unique experience staying in a chateau that has been in existence since the 12th century. The breakfast was delicious. As this is a very old building with very thick walls it can be a little cool so do bring a shawl, cardigan of some type just to keep warm at breakfast. Enjoy!

Wonderful 4 nights staying here, just what we expected and more reading the reviews. Owners were very friendly and looked after us very well. Room had everything we needed and comfortable. The breakfasts were great for us and what a setting! Well worth climbing up the tower to see the views over the lake. Also had a very peaceful morning just spent relaxing in the garden. The scenery around Esparron is wonderful. Recommend swimming in the lake and hiring a boat to go through the gorge, take a picnic and a bottle of wine.

Everything was excellent here. The Chateau is owned by a family, which were always very kind and helpful. The breakfast was home-made with a nice personal touch - we were pretty much alone at the large table in the dining room. The location is fantastic - right in the heart of lavender fields if you arrive at the right time of the year. Within driving distance are beautiful lakes at Verdon river and Verdon canyon.
All in all, we would be more than happy to return here again for a longer stay.

Had the delight of staying at Chateau d'Esparron in early September while on a driving tour of France. Arrived after a long day of driving to find an authentic chateau and delightful hosts. Charlotte and Bernard were very welcoming and the experience of staying in an original chateau was superb. Our room was lovely and even more enjoyable after the walk up the circular staircase! The timing of our stay in Esparron coincided with the end of the school holidays, and unfortunately all of the restaurants chose to be closed on that night! Charlotte came to our rescue when we bought a bottle of wine and a pizza that needed cooking from the local supermarket. When the tray arrived with the cooked pizza, she had gone all out for us with making a salad, a plate of grapes, cheeses and crackers...... We had a beautiful picnic dinner in the lovely garden of the chateau. Much better than any restaurant dinner. Also a special thank you to Pierre, their delightful son who helped us with the set-up in the garden. A truly memorable stay. Would highly recommend.
