We had take - away’s. They seem to be very busy as there was a waiting list already. Worth the wait. We had pizza and pasta. Food was good

The only issue I have is that they do not cater for gluten intolerant guests. They did however say we could buy gluten pizza bases from the spar (which we did). The food was scrumptious and well flavoured. The service by Merlin was exceptional as well. I had to give her a big hug as I left as she was just lovely. A great meal in an authentic restaurant. Pity we could not try their homemade pasta and pizza bases. A great little gem.

We had diner with 4 persons here. It’s a tiny place filled with Italian artifacts: pictures, pasta maker, flags, even the table blanket makes you feel like in Italy. The food however is nowhere near any Italian taste: the Pasta Alfredo was a greasy plate with thick cream and pasta, and spores of mushrooms and bacon. Pizzas were dripping fat, and had hardly any taste. couldn’t find any ingredient because cheese was really all over the plate. Never again!

We had four pizzas. One was good. I had less than half of my Sicilian. Not a good flavour. Had to search for one or two mushrooms. There was more rosemary on this one than on the rosmarino. The Al tonno had no flavour of tuna, and less than half was eaten. The rosmarino lacked rosemary and was not great.
Service was good, however.

Thank you for your review. I would like to apologise for your experience with us as, like any established restaurant, we pride ourselves in not only our service, but more importantly, our food. In saying this, however, I find it strange that you mention the rosemary on the Sicilian Pizza and that there was more of it than on the Rosmarino Pizza itself. The reason for my bewildered reaction is that the Sicilian does not have any Rosemary on it whatsoever. The Pizza maker has been making pizzas with us for 10 years and I doubt very much whether she would have got that wrong. As far as the other two pizzas go, I guess there's a first time for everything. Both the Rosmarino aswell as the Al Tonno are favourites at Piccolo. Once again I'd like to apologise for your negative experience with us and have taken your review under advisement.
