Seldom stay in a place that cannot be faulted. Montague Vines is such a place. Everything spot on. Attention to detail, position, gardens accommodation just cannot be better. Make this a destination, you will not be disappointed.

If you are heading to Montagu- you must stay at this incredible guest lodge - it is beautiful in every way- great comfort - amazing hosts - spectacular setting - plenty of open space - a dam and a pool to swim in ! A walk in the olive grove in the morning is incredible! Just perfect!
Extremely “Covid safe” .

What a fabulous guesthouse...but it is certainly much more than that . My husband and I with friends stayed here for 3 nights. It was very easy to find and the location was perfect with the most amazing views of the mountains and overlooking the olive groves, and just a five minute walk from one of the best restaurants I have been to in a long while. The accommodation itself was second to none..each room large and extremely comfortable with all the usual amenities plus some. It was like luxury accommodation but in someone’s actual home. It was the tiny little extras that counted...and here there were many. Breakfast was well presented, tasty and plentiful. A braii was also arranged for us for one of the evenings. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Most importantly though were the hosts Pam and Anthony - they were the most helpful and charming people I have met in a very long time in the hospitality business. They were always available to give advise and to share some very interesting stories on the area.. a lovely couple. To end my review I must not forget to mention that I have never, and I mean never stayed in a place where cleanliness was not far from godliness...everywhere was spotlessly clean and sanitized which is especially important in these times of covid . A visit to Montagu well deserves a stay at this lovely place.

We stayed three nights at Montagu Vines. We were welcomed with a bottle of wine, cheerful hosts (Pam and Ant) and lovely spacious rooms. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfasts were 'oh my word' amazing.... cereal, croissants, cheese, eggs any which way, bacon,...Local dinner bookings just happened on request and hiking and winery advice was given with ease. We had a really really great time in this little town. Best experience on a month long road trip. We will be back!

Our first stopover on our Route 62 tour and the bar was set impossibly high for all the other places we stayed in. The room was so tastefully furnished, the attention to every little detail evident and the views of the garden, dam, olive grove and mountains so stunning. A lovely touch was being offered a drink to enjoy in the late afternoon. Pam and Ant are the perfect hosts, genuine warm people who ensure that you have an enjoyable stay. We were impressed that the hosts support local businesses, the toiletries were produced locally. We walked to the local restaurant they had booked for us and we loved the fact that we were able to do this. It was a privilege to have been guests at this exceptional guest house
