“Paid for 1 hour and got 30 minutes ”

Hunter Valley Horseriding and Adventures
Reviewed 28 January 2018 via mobile

The girls wanted to go horse riding and this was the only one open at the time. We paid for a 1 hour ride and got about 30 minutes of riding. They didn't get to canter the horses. Unfortunately there was a huge family who wanted to take photos of each person sitting on the horses prior to our ride. This pushed our time futher back and we didn't get a full hour. The people are very friendly but they need to be sterner with people who aren't riding amd they should give you an hours ride when that's what you pay for.

The horses had issues like biting each other or being restless as the management is not able to manage them. Throughout the trip there were lots of breaks as the horses does not want to move at all. So do not expect it to be a full one and half hour ride.

I'm not a horse rider, but we did it as part of a group and it was very easy. The women who run this center are so lovely, very encouraging and helpful for new riders. Lea especially was very friendly!

We did the 30 minute ride as we had 2 x 6 year olds part of our 8 person group. They all loved the experience including the 9 year olds. It was slow and geared for beginners which we needed since half of our family have never been horse riding before. The staff were fine. Friendly enough and knew which horses to pair up with each person based on experience and age. Great intro to horse riding. Kids are in love with the horses. Thank you

I booked for the kids and i to do a 1.5 hour ride. Was lovely potter through the fields. Lee and ebony, the riders that accompanied us were supportive and informative. It was a very hot day and we rode at midday. When we got back lee said the ride was only down for one hour. As she wanted to pack up I said that was ok. After requesting a refund the manager was disagreeable stating that she'd been told I'd refused to do the extra half an hour. Bit put off and highly recommend that regardless of circumstances (us versus them), the costumer is always right. Love the horses anyway
