Our B&B proprietors singled out the Green Man as one of their own particular favourite local pubs in the guide folder placed in the room, and it's easy to see why. Someone has put a lot of effort into making this a very pleasant place to go to eat and drink, and on a warm summer night the easy chairs outside are a master stroke. The food was really, really good (beer battered haddock and a steak and ale pie in a pan), and was plenty on its own without starters or desserts. Black Sheep seems to have got a strong foothold in this part of Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire, but nowhere we came across kept its Best Bitter better than here. Well worth the trip down the country lanes to Norton Disney.
