There was due to be 8 of us, but in the end there was only 6. Reason picked was that 2 of us had been 2 out of 4 lassies who had pop in on a Saturday afternoon, we both thought we must return for food, which we did on a Sat night.
They bring out the bread, olive oil with balsamic vinegar at the beginining.
Starters for all & very much enjoyed by all.
A few of us fancied the cod, however it had sold out, we were offered the Sea Bream at the same price, not disappointed, only that we never got to try the cod. However that is an excuse to return soon!
Only one of us felt they could fit in a dessert, which she said was yum.
The company was great, which was enhanced by the lovely atmosphere, friendly/professional staff. We all agreed 'we must do it again'

Room tip: Did not stay, only had evening meal with friends from the area

One of the most friendly hospitable hotels I have stayed in.
Rooms were very comfortable food was brilliant and the staff were the highlight of the stay always friendly and willing to help you out.
A very well stocked bar with some very nice drinks. Have to say Annie and Stacey were brilliant staff.

We went for Sunday lunch as a group of 12 yesterday . We had a brilliant time - the bar service - food - service for the lunch - all excellent . We had roast beef which was perfect and lovely vegetables too. Congrats to the new chef and all the staff . Thank you

The Hotel itself is presented lovely and holds the modern along with the traditional very well.

We booked a double room which was decorated lovely, nice colours, very very tidy and clean and the en-suite was clean and a lovely nice size. There were bottles of loveliness for us there too. The bed was extremely comfortable and there were no drafts from the windows or noises from the corridors from other guests.

The staff were absolutely lovely and couldn't do enough for us, especially when booking taxis and dealing with me changing plans. They also gave us extra coffee etc for our room when we arrived home very late from an event.

The breakfast the next day was all fresh cooked ingredients and cooked very nicely. The staff even allowed us to have family to pop over to say goodbye to us, which was the nicest thing to do.

We didn't stay for a meal this time but the next visit will include an evening meal.

All in all it was a wonderful stay at this hotel. I would recommend it to anyone and we will be booking to stay here again....and using it as our 'place to stay' when visiting Gosport.

Living locally to The Old Lodge Hotel have seen it go through changes and The Old Lodge has always been good hence why I like it but the added bonus (as I love my food cooking and eating) of a new menu and chef that is delivering food full of passion and creativity is the "icing on the cake" I strongly recommend a visit and as always the owner (thanks for sorting a friend a taxi), staff, were lovely and helpful as ever! There was 5 of us all having a great catch up as it is a bit of our annual meet up yearly with long standing great friends vibe and drinks are always amazing! So it was a combination of having it also at The Old Lodge Hotel = Wonderful! Thank you to you all!
