We spent three nights in this lovely B&B, using it as a base for day trips to Porto ( about an hour), Coimbra (about half an hour) and other nearby sights. The hosts were welcoming and gracious, offering us local wines as we sat by the pool and driving us to a wonderful hard to find restaurant. The breakfasts were beautiful and delicious. And the garden behind the wall was a great place to return to after exploring Roman ruins or hiking in the park at Bussaco.
When we were there, the rooms were a bit damp, and they really do need smaller doorknobs, but these were minor inconveniences in the very enjoyable days we spent at the end of our Portugal tour. More
