It was a small parking area and i almost got blocked in while i was walking. But this is really only 5 minutes drive from town and a really cool and short (10 min?) Walk into the gorge. I loved it in there! I wore flip flops like an idiot but its a bit tricky with uneven surfaces so you should wear better footwear than I did.

If visiting Voss this should not be missed! It is an easy walk to the site of the gorge and not a particularly difficult walk down to the viewing point. The view is spectacular.

This ravine is spectacular and has relatively easy access. An enjoyable walk from the centre of Voss. Either we started walking from the wrong point or the sighnposting was not good in Voss. It improved as we got closer to the ravine.

We've seen many waterfalls and fjords during our trip around Norway but this gorge was gorgeous! There are many short little trails to different areas of the gorge. The water is so clear and the gorge is incredibly deep.

We went to the Voss Camping office and they gave us a map with directions. After driving through Voss, go over the bridge and turn right on Gjernesvegan. If you keep following this road you will see a small green sign that says Bordalsgjelet. We parked in a gravel dead end and then walked about 5 minutes following the signs to get to the paths. We were there for probably 30 minutes.

This is definitely a hidden gem and I would totally recommend this to anyone who has some spare time in Voss.

A great 30 minute hike from the train station in beautiful surroundings. Easy for kids from age 6. Definitely a steep descent at the end which can be slippery when wet. The gorge is beautiful and worth the trip.
