I was here with a group of about 20 during a business trip. We were welcomed with a glass of prosecco each and as the hosts' had pre-organised the menu, what followed was an absolute delight to a person who likes to eat food prepared in the local fashion.
The first course was a mashed potato-souffle like base topped with lovely sauted/lightly sauced mushrooms. This course was melt in the mouth and absolutely delightful. This was followed by a pasta course, quite easily the best I've ever eaten! We had penne in a light creamy white base sauce, infused with lovely flavour and had an additional crunch because of the nuts in the dish. The third course was a slice of roast pork and roast potatoes. The pork although delicious was a tad bit on the dry side. A 'tiramisu' ice cream followed for dessert and was the weakest course of all, probably because its taste did not do justice to its appearance. Last of all came the espresso to finish off an absolutely fantastic meal!
As this meal was organised entirely by the hosts, I could not say whether the food and wine that accompanied it was value for money. I can however say that I would most certainly be tempted to go back for more, should I ever be in the region again.
