We stayed there with my wife and two teenage children. The house was incredibly well done. I typically prefer more of an antique feel but the combination of the old structure and the modern décor was spectacular. The entire back wall is glass looking into the patio, which is literally carved out of the rock behind the home. Finally, the views over the countryside from the front of the home were fantastic.
As the other reviewer mentioned, the local representative was terrific.
We also loved Menerbes. It's a little sleepy compared to some of the other villages but I found it had everything we needed. There is a small grocery a short walk from the house that had great local fare and, of course, you could get wine everywhere. We ate out a lot and never had a bad meal.
One thing that we didn't expect was the tourist fascination with the house. It has a historic plaque on it and when tourists come to town, many press their faces right up on the window to see in! It certainly wouldn't keep me from staying there again but you might want to keep that in mind.
Finally, we booked this through a travel company and not directly with the owner. For some reason, the price came down after we booked it but the agency wouldn't give us the lower rate. If I book again, I will probably go right to the owner.
