“A lovely little cottage tucked away in the Suisse Normandie countryside”
Reviewed 26 June 2015 for a stay in June 2015

We had a 3 night stopover on the way back from Vendee to the ferry at Caen. This is a lovely little cottage in quiet countryside. Friendly English owners Jason & Peta who made us feel very welcome. Our 3 year old loved feeding the chickens and kicking his ball round the neighbouring field. If you have small kids, just a warning, the model railway at nearby Clecy is shut on Mondays in June...check the opening dates and times if visiting. There's a handy Lidl and Super U just a short drive from the cottage in Thury-Harcourt. All in all an excellent stay that we would happily recommend to others.

“Well located in Normandy”
Reviewed 29 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

We stayed in this gite which is in a small farm location along with 3 other holiday rentals. You need a car as it is in a very quiet but pretty spot. The nearest town of Thury - Harcourt is only a 5 minute drive away and has supermarkets, restaurants etc. The owners Peta and Jason live nearby and are very friendly and helpful. They did the renovations themselves and it was interesting to chat to about their experiences and local life. The gite is a recent renovation of old farm buildings and so everything is quite new and very tastefully decorated and well stocked. We were attending an event in Caen which was a comfortable 20 minute drive away. Other attractions such as Falaise (highly recommended),Bayeaux, the D-Day beaches, river kayaking, Honfleur and Le Havre are all easy trips and Mont St Michel and Rouen were also good day trips.
