I recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, and it is beautiful. The Chateau and the grounds are beautiful. The rooms are all named and beautifully decorated. It is a little remote, as it is inside a park, but the quiet and greenery only add to the beauty. The service and the food at the hotel were wonderful. There is also a very sweet, well behaved dog that lives there who cheerfully greets you when you arrive and sees you off when you leave. Definitely one of the highlights on my tour of France.

This beautiful hotel is situated in absolutely fabulous surroundings close to charming villages with sufficient number of good bakeries, grocery stores and eating places. We had a two nights' comfortable stay in this hotel.
We feel that this hotel is very poor quality for money. Room standard, though acceptable, does not match the high price. We were in the cottages away from the main building, and one had the feeling of being in an attic with the ceiling coming down to meet our heads in almost a third of the room! If one wanted to sit at the narrow table, one had to shift the table so as to hold one's head straight!
The worst however was the snobbishness of the staff. Also, they are rather tight lipped about giving information. Or, may be they just do not know English.
Well, when one thinks that in another age, this high class hotel would probably not have allowed me entry, and that in another country even a few decades ago, my husband and I would have been thrown in prison, may be it is not so bad. At least they are politically correct. And, to be fair, they are courteous too. Just not friendly!

Room Tip: The cottages are excellent for location and seclusion. However, the walls are rather thin, and the rooms rather small with not much cabinet space. One misses tea/coffee making facilities given the distance from the dining room. If you need these facilities (or if you are above five feet) opt for the rooms in the main building.

The castle is perhaps not a fairy tale castle with towers and walls, but it is charming and the location is really beautiful.

Stayed here for a friend's wedding and that of course helps with the magic.

The rooms are spacious and the beds comfortable.

Pro tip for the breakfast: You have to cook your eggs yourself, the ones in the basket are raw. :)

Room Tip: The WiFi is spotty at best on the upper floor so opt for the lower floor if you need that.

Cannot be disappointed by the location and the place ... room a bit small but in such wonderful location, it is nearly a detail . Breakfast is obvioulsy very 'continental' but I was on a fruit diet so perfect ... Most of all welcome was splendid, at the level of the place

Location is good. Many castles nearby.
Room is clean, nice and good smell.
Staff are friendly and have good knowledge of the town.
Must try the dinner too as they offer good quality French dishes at reasonable price.
