A holiday destination of a lifetime with the most amazing hosts, Matthew and Michelle and staff, Chef Abedi, Mamma Cherrie and Alhadji to look after you, so much to see and do that I would reccomend at least a two week stay!! Stepping off your front verandah onto the silky white beach and into the 50 shades of blue was the greatest privaledge. Getting to know more about the local culture and seeing so many amazing new sights and tasting the local cuisine was awesome. The Villa is so well designed that it feels like home away from home, flowing freely from the bedrooms to the living area onto the verandah, well done Matthew you waxed it completely. The clever way you have taken local furniture, fabrics and artwork and blended them into the furnishings is amazing as well as framing the view through huge windows so that you always have a view of the sea is sheer genius! Michelle's wealth of local knowledge is incredible, listen to what she says and take up her reccomendations, going to Stone Town is a day trip that is a must as well as doing the Spice Tour, and the best tip for me was to do Sunday Brunch at Upendo, thank you both for an amazing holiday, hope you will visit us soon!! But to be honest I would rather come back to stay with you!

We have stayed at the villa Zanzibar for a week in March and if you are looking for a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle this is a perfect getaway. The property is newly build and spacious and it can accommodate a whole family. With direct beach access it is ideal for a morning and evening stroll and the large outdoor area offers plenty of privacy.
The hosts Michelle and Matthew are extremely kind individuals who sincerely care about their customers and will go the extra mile to accommodate their needs.
An in- house cook is available and trips and excursions can be organised upon request.
Michelle organised a trip to the neighbouring village and orphan school for us as we were interested in spending time in a local environment to get a feel for the culture. This experience alone is extremely enriching and this interests you I would suggest you to bring along donations and items you don't need as some of the areas are very poor and any contribution is very much appreciated.
Stone Town is an hour drive away and I would highly recommend a trip there.
Make sure to travel in daylight as the streets can be very dark at night.
In regards to dining options, there is a locally owned restaurant right next door that serves the local catches of the day and it can be delivered to you so you can enjoy it on the porch overlooking the ocean.
If there is one thing I could describe our stay with, it would be Karibu, which means Welcome in Swahili and this is how we felt throughout our trip...
