I stayed 1 night here and I can’t complain.
The rate I got was $50, decent, clean room.
Very welcoming people, always kind and helpful.
Food is average, however you can enjoy a few local dishes while here.

I must say, cleanliness was good. Breakfast was full of tropical fruits, lemongrass tea was my best bit. Very generous with their home baked breads too. Delicious!

All in all, if you are visiting this hotel don’t expect the service and accommodation of your “perfect zanzibar getaway”.

Don’t forget to visit Nungwi beach, cholos, the natural aquariums to swim with turtles. All these very close or a very short drive.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay here, and were nearing the end of 3 weeks in Tanzania so had other hotels etc. to compare to. Amenities are great! Nice pool, beach chairs, hammocks, spa, bar, concierge for day trip questions. Half board (breakfast and dinner included). Breakfast includes pastries (best scones / cinnamon buns) fruit, cereal, sausage, beans. Dinner varied and offered choices for appies, entree and dessert. Meals were average. Rooms basic and dated, beds a bit hard, but great views of sea and from Zanzibar house, there are wonderful views of Nungwi and place to watch sun set. Good price for what you get!

Dear Janine

Thank you for your positive feedback. We are pleased to see that you enjoyed our famous sea views and sunsets. I will pass on to the chef that he must continue to make scones and cinnamon rolls.

We look forward to seeing your again in the near future.

We both had an amazing time at the resort.
The staff and everyone else there were amazing. The owner himself took care and welcomed us during our stay.
Best thing was that there was NO TV in the rooms. Makes you get out more and enjoy the resort and the beach front. Talk to other guests, enjoy the sunset and the waves.
They have a library full of books left behind by other guests with some interesting read in many languages.
This is an economy package hotel but has all you would need for a very reasonable price.
The best part was the waves hitting the underside of the beach front deck.
We went out to the town side where locals got us fresh coconuts for a small charge.
Very pleasant and relaxing stay of two nights.
So if you are looking for an economy type hotel with great friendly staff, this is it.

Room Tip: Don’t expect this to be a five star room, but if you are looking for good people and staff, this is it.

Mnarani beach cottages is the most welcoming resort in Nungwi. You arrive as a stranger and leave as a friend. The resort is situated at the tip of Zanzibar and is the perfect location away from real life. the staff at Mnarani are friendly and helpful at all times, trying their best to make your stay as memorable as ever. A stay at Mnarani

It is the best place to stay in Nungwi if you are not looking for a party but for a pleasant, relaxing stay. Staff is very friendly, facility well equipped. Food is tasty and you do not have to wait for it too long comparing to other places in Zanzibar. We truly enjoyed every day of our stay there.
