Had a stellar experience at Jembissa! From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and at home. Lorraine and Andre were incredibly kind and welcoming as was the entire staff tending to our needs. The delicious food including many South African specialties were meticulously prepared and served in various locations. The house had a great dining room and outdoor eating area but the bush meals were truly special.
Ed our guide had such a depth of knowledge. We could ask him anything about the animals and the bush, and did! We learned so much as a result! A great storyteller, he was happy to recount many of his own stories and adventures. Best of all he was friendly, kind, and a great person to spend hours with each day on game drives and outings.
In the end we were all sad to leave Jembissa as in just a few short days we’d formed a real bond with the place, the people, and the two lodge dogs: Milo and Astro.

Excellent experience. All the staff were friendly and extremely helpful for our every need. Not a moment went by where I didn’t enjoy myself. From the morning safaris to the nighttime dinner in the bush, it truly was one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Food was delicious! Every meal was excellent. Fresh breads every day and all meals homemade.
Hosts pay attention to detail and make your stay as comfortable as possible. Our Ranger had a wide range of knowledge about the bush and treated us to special outings every day.
