We spent a fantastic 4 nights at Bushbuck Rock Valley - where people and nature do truly come together. Our host and guide Bertus and his wife Kelly showed hospitality out of the top drawer. Nothing was too much effort and we felt as if we were in a home away from home including our Yorkshire Terrier.

This is a self-catering establishment so make sure you take all your provisions with you as the nearest towns, Ellisras (Lephalale) or Vaalwater, are some 80kms away. There is a well equiped kitched and each wooden chalet has it's own braai (barbeque) area. However Bertus can rustle up a hamburger or something similar on request. Bertus offers guided tours around the property and in the evening an astronomy experience. The birding in the area is great. The only downside is the gravel road of about 17kms to get to the entrance but it is mostly in good condition.

We will be back soon and thank you to Bertus and Kelly for a lovely stay
