Stunning Game Reserve to visit. Management fantastic and friendly! Perfect for a relaxed breakaway. Accommodation is comfortable. Otto took us to kayak on the river, this was a awesome outing. We will definitely return.

The most perfect weekend to just relax. Stunniing setting, beautiful accomodation and even the finest details taken care of.

Management are very friendly and hospitable, complimented by fantastic staff (Respect & Moses), and then the chef will blow your taste buds away!

Highly recommend a spa treatment just to round off a truely relaxing experience.

Well done to The Shakama "Mean Team"

Room tip: There's no sure thing as a good room.... they are all great!

Shakati is a small, private game lodge situated in the bushveld region of Limpopo. It offers serviced self-catering accommodation in three fully equipped chalets, each of which accommodate six people. There is a central bar, barbecue and dining area adjacent to the swimming pool for larger groups. The setting is perfect for a relaxed breakaway. Daily guided game drives are available, and maps are provided for bush walking trails.

The management is very friendly and accommodating, and we were made very welcome. The accommodation is comfortable, but basic - it is a bush setting! Pricing is very reasonable - about US$100 per night for a chalet, and well worth the 2 1/2 hour drive from Pretoria. We will definitely return there.
