We spent a lovely first week of August 2016 in Villa Andrea, it is very clean & new, beautifully decorated and very practical. Close to amazing Bonifacio and so many blue beaches, we had the time to explore several places, largely also due to the advice and recommendation of the owner (to whom we are very grateful!). Pool was always clean, views are relaxing and place is very quiet. Thank you Sylvie & family - you created a wonderful place!
We highly recommend these charming little villas, quite practical and elegantly decorated with much gusto. For our summer family vacation (parents and two kids), we stayed at Villa Andrea for a week and from the outset we were pleasantly surprised by the thoughtfulness and friendly demeanour of the host, Sylvie, who came to personally welcome us into the domain and the villa. We felt at home right away and loved the way the villa was built and decorated. Although all the villas were occupied we felt as if we were alone enjoying the pool with our kids as if it were private. We really appreciated the host’s thoughtfulness going the extra mile to make our vacation perfect. Sylvie is quite an attentive host: from giving valuable information on restaurants and activities to sharing with us some local treats. The house breakfast is worth testing. In short, we highly recommend Villa Madra to who ever is interested and we sure will return when we got the chance to.

Our experience at Villa Madra´s was outstanding and that´s the main reason that led me to make its review. After a lot of hotel searching in Bonifacio area my husband and I decided to stay at Villa Madra´s. We stayed at Villa Simon, one of the three villas of the property, with our 11-year- old daughter from July 6th to July 15th, 2016.
Villa Madra´s property is located in a quiet area five minute drive from Citadelle de Bonifacio and 15 minute drive from Figaro Airport. This way, we could easily choose the tranquility of the Villa or the frenzied of the Citadelle of Bonifacio. The property has three villas ( Villa Simon, Villa Andrea and Villa Amelie), all with the same layout but each with its own décor. In addition the property has a beautiful pool that is divided among the guests. Villa Madra is managed by their owners, Sylvie and Ferreira.
Villa Simon décor is very elegant and cool. It has two beautifully decorated bedrooms and two nice equipped bathrooms, one for each room. The living room has an integrated kitchen remarkably well-equipped. Furthermore, Villa Simon has an attached private outdoor area with barbecue grill , wood oven pizza , table for outdoor dining and an additional sink for preparing outdoor meals, and when needed an washing machine.
Every detail was thought by Sylvie and Ferreira, from the cocktail shaker, glasses for white wine, red wine and champagne to umbrellas (sun and rain) and plug adapter for foreigners. Impressive! Furniture, electronic equipment and household items are of excellent quality, new and neat.
The hotel experience started about one month prior to our trip to Bonifacio. Surprisingly, Sylvie sent us a letter with a series of information and pamphlets on what to do in Bonifacio, which for us was very helpful to program activities in the island. I found this really cool and kind.
When we got to the hotel, Silvie welcomed us and provided all the practical information needed and also gave us a bunch of tips about the island activities, that turned out very good. Every time we needed her she was ready to help us and make our stay more pleasant. She and her husband are really nice people.
The hits of our stay in Villa Madra were:
1) Privacy, comfort and peace
2) All very clean, tide and beautiful
3) Fell like home, with everything needed
4) Be a five minute drive from one of the top spots in the Mediterranean area
5) Sylvie activities tips, that turned out to be very good ones
6) Cooking and having dinner in our Villa´s outdoor area, in the French way ( or even inside our Vila)
7) The welcoming treatment given by Sylvie, who spoiled us with regional goodies such as typical bread and beverages, or toys for my daughter to play.
8) Very nice swimming pool and a beautiful landscape.

We just spent 9 nights at Sylvie and Jorge's Villa Madra and are happy to recommend them highly. There are 3 villas with identical layout but with an individual & very nice design - the villas were built by Jorge and designed by Sylvie. The villas have everything you need to be self catered - including a BBQ and pizza oven - in fact we did not have dinner out once during our stay there. They also provide beach essentials (towels, sun umbrella etc). Location is great just outside of Bonifacio (need a car to get into town where access and parking can be an issue in peak season - but you need a car to get around anyways) yet totally peaceful / quiet. No sea view despite what a previous reviewer mentioned, the beautiful shared swimming pool looks out to serene small hills to the north of Bonifacio. Our villa (villa Simon) had the best location since looking out to the maquis and more private than the 2 other villas that look out at the other villa's back. Sylvie and Jorge were great hosts and went out of their way to be helpful. Bonifacio itself is a remarkably beautiful small town that has become a tourist and jetset magnet - we were there the last week of June and crowds were starting to build up - you sometimes have to time your morning departure or be flexible with your plans to avoid traffic jams - might not be as enjoyable in the middle of summer. The landscapes and beaches in the area are amazingly beautiful and diverse. Highly recommend both Villa Madra and the Bonifacio area - but avoid peak season if you can.
Excelent accomodation and great hospitality.
Close to the village center (5 mins driving), and at same time with privacy and nice view to the coast.
