“Good, Pricey Though”

While staying at Casa Canada, we ate dinner here once, and enjoyed the breakfast every morning (included in the room price). The food is good - and it is nice to sit out on the deck by the ocean. That said, it is a little pricey, and I would suggest venturing out to other restaurants on the island instead of having multiple dinners here. That is just based on the cost relative to an equal-quality or better meal that is cheaper outside the hotel.

We stayed at the hotel and breakfast was included--great selection and the fresh fruit juices were delicious each morning! We tried every one of the different breakfasts and they were yummy! We also ate dinner here a couple of nights--fish dishes are awesome, believe it or not the grilled cheese is delicious (grilled cheese with chicken and tomato on coconut bread), the soups are delicious! All around good food!

We ate here several times for breakfast and lunch while enjoying the pool and oceanfront location. Some days the service was slower, but most were good. As long as you were ordering food and drinks, they are good with customers using the pool even if you're not staying at their hotel. Is the only commercial pool on the island and a very nice one at that.

Rooms are great with very comfortable beds and nice couch and sitting area. The pool was excellent. The service we had at the restaurant was excellent . Our server was named Tyson and he was exceptional!! He made sure that whatever we needed we had it. The hotel also provides taxi service from the airport and will arrange a taxi for anywhere you want to go. We had a driver named Kurtney drive us from the airport and he was great. After that the hotel got us a cab driver named John
Roberto and he was amazing, we had him enjoy dinner with us a couple of nights, he was a world of information and just so pleasant.

This is long, and there were so many things wrong with our experience that I'm not even sure I will get them all in this review...
Let me start by saying that the 3 of us who went have all lives in the Corn Islands for a number of years so we know about the service levels and what kinds of food is and isn't available, but this was bad even by those standards!!
We originally hoped to eat at the pizza place over the road which was closed that night, and having read previously bad reviews of Casa Canada were reluctant to eat there, but we had our sights set on pizza and Casa Canada was having a pizza special so we thought we would try it....
First we ordered drinks, after waiting 15 minutes we were told we could not have a glass of red wine, we ordered white, 15 minutes later were told we could not have that either. We pointed at the wine bottle on the bar and asked why we could not order wine, he said they had no boxes left, which he claimed was the same as the wine in the bottle!!!! Not sure why they advertise wine by the bottle if they don't want to open the bottles!!
We asked what cheeses were on the "3 cheeses pizza", he said white cheese, we waited for what else.... asked the waiter to check with the restaurant, he said yellow cheese (still one missing!!).... after 2 more visits to the kitchen we still had no idea so skipped that as an option.
We asked what was on the Canadia pizza....he pointed at the photo and said it looked like meat of some sort.... well really, we could see that from the photo but hoped he could tell us what it actually was, but of course no, despite 2 trips to the kitchen to speak to the chef..... we asked for pepperoni to be added to the vegetarian pizza which he said was impossible, 10 minute and 2 trips to the kitchen later he eventually said we can do that...
So we ordered 2 pizzas, when the food came out there was only one, he said that was the last one.... we were stunned, why take the order for 2?!!! and not say anything?!!!!
the vegetarian pizza had CANNED vegetable on it when it came, we now asked for the manager who didn't want to come and see us, we insisted and eventually she came, and then claimed that there are no fresh vegetables on the Corn Islands so that's why they used canned ones?!! again, we live here, the supply ships had arrived from the mainland 2 days before, this was a blatant lie to cover up the terrible food they were trying to serve us.
The manager eventually gave us the pizza for free and some wine (which they had now learned how to open a bottle and pour into a glass).... and she walked off leaving us with a now cold pizza on the table (to feed 2 out of 3 of us) and no plates, knives or forks to eat it with.... we went and got our own plates and cutlery and a menu so the missing pizza could be replaced with something else...
Clearly the owners/management of this place have no interest in providing even a half decent meal service, they didn't even care about how bad it was, they seemed to be happier to sit at the bar and talk to friends than sort out the mistakes. The service and food here is TERRIBLE, do not go there
