Love this hotel! every time go to Yosemite, always stop by this hotel. Just walk around the back of the hotel and inside the hotel, it is magnificent experience! last weekends we went there again, and joined the free tour from the hotel staff where we learned so much about its history and its architectural design, a wonderful treasure of America!

We stayed here recently as a special treat for my birthday. We stayed in one of the cabins and it was lovely. The cabins are very roomy, very nicely furnished, and the location doesn't get much better. We really enjoyed ourselves. We did have big problems with the internet connection, it never really worked well. My husband had to submit a document by a deadline the first night and had to go to the lobby at the hotel to get a connection that allowed him to submit the document. He complained and the hotel responded by trying to fix the problem and they gave us a vouched to have brunch in the dining room. The staff are very nice and the service is good. All of that said, you are paying prices you could get really top tier rooms for in big cities such as Chicago. You are paying for the setting.

We were booked for Yosemite Valley Lodge, but after looking at the place we decided to see if the Majestic had any room availability, and they did. The difference in price between the hotels was only $15 more a night at the Majestic, no brainer. Loved it from the minute we walked in. Several fireplaces on the main floor and plenty of seating. Cozy lounge area serving foods and drinks, relaxing environment. Our room # 438 was lovely and a balcony with a view of the falls. I found the hotel to be quiet, the beds comfortable and the bathroom small, but had everything you would need including a great shower

At over $500/night, we weren't going to stay there. But we wanted to visit and get a picture by the fireplace. We did so. It's a grand lodge. One of the National Park's best. The whole thing screams extravagance. The ceilings are high. There are lots of beams. The fireplace is huge. And the dining room is, well, really big. The ceiling is probably three stories high. The tables are almost lost. We just wandered around with our mouths open in awe. Also, by the gift shop, there's a hand-out explaining the creation and building of the Lodge. Neat place.

OBTW, we did get our picture taken by the fireplace.

Great to visit if you don't stay there. Lovely dining room with wonderful service. Best value is breakfast or lunch. And, you don't have a dress code for these meals.
