What can you say about lodging when they have a captive guest? Rooms are small with no air conditioner, kids constantly run up and down the halls till 10 at night. A drive to get to anything worth seeing. And housekeeping will enter your room without knocking. They have a stacker so that you can sort your trash, then they don't empty it? Good thing that Yellowstone is off the bucket list, wouldn't want to go through that again.

We stayed two nights in the Antelope Lodge in Yellowstone's Grant Village. These are not fancy accommodations - but after all you are in Yellowstone National Park! Be warned - THERE WAS NO TELEVISION! Better bring along a good book. Access to wifi was expensive. The shower was tiny and cramped. There is no view from the room. On the plus side the Lake is very close, with amazing sunrises and sunsets. The General Store and restaurants are also in walking distance.

We had requested two rooms together but were given rooms in different Lodges. The rooms were dark, dingy and cramped. Food in the non-booking restaurant was like the worst school dinners. The main restaurant was better but overpriced. WiFi was incredibly expensive and very slow when it worked (which was intermittently). Disappointing.

Lodges were a big disappointment. No view. No AC though nights we do not need. No WiFi. we were asked to buy according to plans, however payment could not be effected as they said our card did not work. Staff at the Registration were not helpful. Also, mobile connection was also not there. The redeeming feature was the beauty of the place... the restaurant was passable - known as the Lake House Restaurant - however, the view of the Lake was excellent. Something of the restuarant staff I should mention - they all had name badges - short names and everyone also had the names of the States they were from Texas, Arizona etc.. This was real nice as visitors could be from any place - quite a good attempt at making people come closer....
Well we come to see the park..Yellow Stone National Park is a place worth visiting...we had memorable time during our 4 day stay...will come again but not to this accommodation

We stayed for three nights in the elk lodge. It was close to west thumb area and about a 45 min drive to Old Faithful area. There are three restaurants there. Only one of them requires reservations (we got them three months in advance). The lodge was clean and quiet. They have a coffee maker and a small refrigerator. They also have soap , lotion, and conditioner and a small hair dryer. They have internet available if you purchase it. They don’t have tv so be sure to bring games from home or you can purchase them in the general store. I would definitely stay again.
