Having been faithful Outrigger guests for a decade, we stayed at the Sheraton last minute between over New Years. We were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were good, slightly rough around the edges (chipped paint in bathrooms, minor carpet stains etc) but no dealbreakers. We stayed in an Oceanfront room and had an amazing view - the hotel is designed to give most rooms an ocean view. The best thing about the Sheraton is the pools. The adult only infinity pool was fantastic - you can float on the provided bean bags and soak up the amazing view. It was so nice to get away from the noise of kids and relax (they have a strict 16+ policy). There is a second, larger pool with a waterslide for kids and families. Like every other hotel, people go down to the pool areas early and "reserve" lounges but in spite of this, we were able to find scattered lounges every time we went which was nice. The pool areas at the Sheraton blew the Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort away - their pool is small and a bit sad, inadequate for a hotel of that size. There are two Hawaiian coffee cafes - their coffee is way better than Starbucks so try it.
