This was my first visit to The the Sheraton as my past holidays were based next door at The Royal Hawaiian. The hotel is large and very popular to all especially to the overseas crowd. The hotel is well equipped and caters well for families. Two swimming pools cater for families and adults. The hotel is clean and the staff are lovely . It’s age doesn’t show that much with the exception of paint and a few things in the bathroom. The only thing to be mindful is the part ocean view rooms that are in line with construction noise that’s currently one the way across the road. The location is great central to most eateries and shopping.

The location was excellent, near all the shops and restaurants. The hotel is beautiful, very large, great pools with beach access. Our hotel room had an amazing view of the ocean and Diamond Head. The room was clean with plenty of towels. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. I want to thank Logan and James who provides us with excellent customer service during our stay.

We were really impressed with the hotel - it's a very large hotel but has excellent service, beautiful pools, and it is probably in the best location on Waikiki beach.

We stayed in an Ohana suite, and whilst it's typically a lot more expensive than the standard room, if you have a large family (we have 4 teenagers), it's well worth considering booking a suite, as certainly for XMAS time, it was cost-comparative with booking two hotel rooms. As well as the 2 balconies with spectacular views, the amount of bedding is amazing - 2 double beds (bedroom) and a living area which comfortably fits a king bed, a pull-out queen sofa, and a large day bed (and still fits an eating table to 6+).

In addition, all guests in an Ohana suite get access to the spectacular Sheraton lounge on the 30th floor --- this significantly reduces the actual cost of the Ohana suite, since although the website refers to continental breakfast and hors d'oeuvres, it's really a hot buffet breakfast, and some nights, a full dinner (and it's very convenient to have ready access to food in the morning and evening if you want to quickly feed the family before enjoying Waikiki's many attractions). The lounge is also open for cold drinks, snacks, coffees during the day, which is another bonus.

Casey, who i understand is one of the front-desk managers, was very proactive in ensuring we had a beautiful stay and we found the staff very attentive, despite us staying there during XMAS week and this being a very hectic time.

The infinity pool is spectacular, and even though 2 of our teenagers were unable to use it, we thought it was a nice touch to have both an adult pool, and a fun family pool (+ 2 very relaxing spas).

Although the beach isn't wide outside the sheraton, it was really no busier than many of Sydney's eastern beaches (eg, Bondi), and it is a lovely part of Waikiki beach and so very accessible from the hotel.

We would most certainly stay at the Sheraton again. Thank you Casey and the rest of the front-desk team.

Room tip: The views from the Ohana suite are stunning

Recently stayed at the Sheraton Waikiki in Honolulu. We had booked a partial ocean view room but were upgraded which was pretty awesome!! Check-in, the day after Christmas was kind of a cluster. There were many people standing in-line and the staff did not seem to care about the long wait people were experiencing. The room was small but we weren't in HI to sit in the room. The balcony was nice and the sunsets were pretty awesome! While I would stay here again, there are other options in the area I would not mind visiting as well.
