We stayed one week at the Aston Waikiki Sunset in June 2018. We had a one bedroom "superior" suite on an upper floor. The view was fantastic. The "suite" was clean and roomy, but shabby. Curtains were threadbare. The furniture was worn and chipped. The popcorn ceiling in our room was peeling. The hallways had dirty carpeting. And worst of all, there were not enough elevators for a 35 floor high-rise! Most of the time, one was out of service causing long waits. There were also going to be scheduled power outages (to make repairs), but luckily, just after we checked out.
The hotel has few amenities. Yes, there is a pool, a room safe, and "free internet," but they are all part of a $25 daily "resort fee." Parking is $20 daily. The beach is a few blocks away. The hotel is not on the "strip" with the other hotels, but on a side street.More
