Came here for a weekend getaway with my bf. This place was close to night life and shopping areas in Waikiki. We really enjoyed it here and loved the lobby and breakfast. They have a koi pond which was very relaxing and the staff was very responsive to us and the rooms were clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back to this hotel.

Room Tip: pick a room with a high floor

Stayed here for 5 nights and was a bit disappointed. The rooms were quite good but the breakfast was the pits. I have checked on the cost of this hotel and it is over $400 per night, you would think that a couple of choices of cereal, two choices of fruit, toast, two types of pastries and coffee for breakfast is a bit lousy. On checking in, we were told that there would be a surcharge of USD 25 per day. I enquired about this but they could not tell me what it was for. Apparently this was bought in by the council but it was never enacted into law, so don,t pay it. They can not force you. This applies to all hotels. Someone is making big bucks for nothing.
The staff were all very good and willing to help.It is quite a good hotel. Pity about the breakfadst.

Hotel is old and has musty, mildew smell. Wish we hadn't booked it. Fortunately only 1 night. Don't understand how it can have good reviews. Never again. Also room was too cold, front desk rep literally told me we couldn't turn the air down because mildew would grow!

Dear Snickers58,
We apologize for your experience during your stay with us. I will have management look into the details that you noted in your review. Also, I will have maintenance and housekeeping work together to make sure that the rooms are free of must and mildew. We kindly ask for another chance to prove that this was not a typical experience for our guests.

With aloha,
Ryan

Stayed 3 nights for honeymoon. I loved the reasonable price of hotel and everything was satisfying.
Location is very great for sightseeing city streets and it takes approximately 10 minutes to get to Waikiki beach. But we could enjoy shopping like luxury brands and ABC stores while going to beach.
Room conditions was also good. Clean restroom and wide bathtub. They don’t provide toothbrushes set so you need to prepare it by yourself.
Staffs are friendly and attentive to assist guests. When we ask for microwave, they were willing to put it to our room for free.
We liked the breakfast as well. Menu is very simple with breads, cereals and two fruits and we could enjoy Kona coffee which made us feel better every morning.
I highly recommend this hotel! :)

I asked for upgrade as view from the window/balcony was of a construction area (I was charged an extra $20 per night though, which annoyed me). When you leave your charged another fee, I think it was around $25 for each night stayed, which I was unaware of when booking? Havent a clue really what thats about, but maybe it covers the free breakfast (so your paying for it after all its NOT free). Basic breakfast but need to be there early to get a seat as limited seating (we only bothered with the one breakfast).
Pool small/No ocean views. On the plus side, handy to bus/restaurants/shopping and beach within walking distance. Not modern or luxurious, but beds clean and comfy. NIce turtle/fish pond area to sit. There is a lovely man named "Michael" who works here and he assisted us with luggage/tips on where to eat/shopping areas and access to the free shuttle. Seek Michael out if you want any info etc. Hes awesome! If your staying here I would recommend ringing to request a room with no construction views.
Considering the extra $20 a night plus the unknown $25 a night fee, ended up costing more for our family holiday than expected.
If saving/planning another trip to Hawaii, I would most likely stay somewhere closer to the beach area with a view of ocean. I mean if your going to Hawaii.....I want to wake each day to a view of the ocean.

Room Tip: Ring to book a room with no construction view/dont book online

Aloha Jules W,

Thank you for your review, we are delighted that Michael was so friendly and made you feel welcome here at the Oasis. We appreciate your sincere recommendations and will take them into consideration. We apologize for the miscommunication about the $25 per night hotel fee. Being that we are a smaller boutique hotel, some views do get to see some construction while others over see Waikiki. We hope to be able to serve you again soon.

Mahalo and Warm Regards
